Reception in Hanoi Marking the 34th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia

On September 19, the Embassy of Armenia in Hanoi hosted a reception on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Independence of Armenia. The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam Le Thi Thu Hang, representatives of the Government of Viet Nam, foreign diplomatic missions, as well as figures from the business, cultural, educational and scientific communities, along with Armenians residing in Viet Nam.

In his welcoming remarks, Ambassador Suren Baghdasaryan highlighted the historic significance of Armenia’s independence as the greatest achievement of the Armenian people’s centuries-long struggle and their right to live freely. He emphasized the steps undertaken by the Government of Armenia to establish peace in the region as a guarantee for strengthening Armenian statehood.

The Ambassador also reflected on the current state of Armenia–Viet Nam relations and their prospects for development, stressing cooperation based on mutual respect and friendship, the high level of political dialogue, and the importance of realizing the potential of economic, technological, scientific, and educational cooperation.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang congratulated the Government and people of Armenia on Independence Day, underlining the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries. She expressed confidence that relations between Armenia and Viet Nam will continue to grow for the well-being of both peoples and for regional peace.

During the celebration, a video showcasing Armenia’s history, culture, art, and picturesque tourist destinations was presented, accompanied by Armenian music. The guests were served Armenian brandy and traditional dishes.
