Visit of the Ambassador of Armenia to the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Cambodia

On June 21, Ambassador of Armenia Suren Baghdasaryan visited the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum in Phnom Penh, where he met with the Museum’s Director, Hang Nisay.

The Ambassador handed over a draft Memorandum of Understanding prepared by the Armenian side—developed by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute Foundation—as a framework proposal for mutual cooperation.

Ambassador Baghdasaryan proposed to the Museum’s leadership to explore cooperation with the Armenian side in organizing mutual visits, exhibitions, information exchange, online and in-person educational programs, and joint research initiatives.

Director Hang Nisay assured that the Cambodian side would provide their proposals regarding potential cooperation within the shortest possible time.

Following the meeting, the Embassy delegation toured the premises of the Tuol Sleng Museum and paid tribute to the victims and survivors of the genocide committed by the Khmer Rouge.
