Ambassador Baghdasaryan Attended the Executive Committee Meeting of the Viet Nam–Armenia Friendship Association

The Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam Suren Baghdasaryan participated in the meeting of the Executive Committee of the Viet Nam–Armenia Friendship Association (VAFA), held at the headquarters of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

During the meeting, remarks were delivered by VAFA Chairman Nguyen Van Thuan and Ambassador Baghdasaryan, followed by a discussion on the prospects for developing bilateral cooperation.

Chairman Nguyen Van Thuan presented the Association's key priorities for 2026, highlighting the strengthening of ties between Hai Phong and Armenian partners, the promotion of a sister-city agreement, and the organization of "Armenian Cultural Days in Hai Phong."

Nguyen Van Thuan also emphasized the significance of the 34th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and Armenia and the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia as an important impetus for the further development of bilateral relations.

Ambassador Baghdasaryan highly appreciated the proposed initiatives and reaffirmed the Embassy's readiness to support VAFA's programs, including the Association's planned working visit to Armenia in July.

Suren Baghdasaryan also underscored the importance of developing cooperation at the local level and reaffirmed Armenia's commitment to further strengthening and expanding Armenia–Viet Nam friendly relations in the fields of economy, education, culture, and technology.
