The official opening ceremony of the third session of the 15th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The official opening ceremony of the third session of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam took place on May 23, 2022. The Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue delivered the opening speech.

In his speech Mr. Hue summarized the results of the first, second and special sessions of the 15^th National Assembly of Vietnam, as well as touched upon the scheduled programs and plans to be considered during the third session.

The Chairman of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam emphasized the full implementation of the decisions and programs in political, economic, social and foreign policies of the 13^th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam that took place in January 2021.

Deputy Prime Minister Le Van Thanh in his speech presented the main socio-economic indicators registered by Vietnam in 2021, namely consumer price index, state budget revenues and expenditures, trade turnover data, etc.

Mr. Thanh also presented the registered economic indexes for the period of January-April 2022. Particularly, the consumer price index has increased by 2.1%, the state budget revenues amounted to VND 657.4 trillion, which exceeds previous year's index by 15.4%. Exports exceeded USD 122.4 billion, which exceeds previous year's index by 18.4%. Imports exceeded USD 119.8 billion, which is 15.7% more than previous year's index. Economic growth in the first quarter has been 5.03%.

In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam also referred to the issue of COVID-19 prevention, the 2021-2025 five-year plan, approved and adopted by the National Assembly, as well as presented information on the process of the large-scale projects of major importance for Vietnam.

The third session of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam will conclude its work on June 16, 2022.

Present and former Presidents, Prime Ministers, General Secretaries of the Communist Party and other high-ranking officials of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam attended the opening ceremony of the third session of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Heads of Diplomatic missions and Permanent Representatives of International Organizations, as well as members of diplomatic corps accredited in Vietnam were present during the opening ceremony of the third session of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Aramazd Muradyan, Second Secretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, was prsent at the official ceremony of the opening of the third session of the 15^th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
